Save the date for the 2026 Fleurieu Careers Expo, to be held at Investigator College on Wednesday 29th July from 6.00pm-8.00pm.


The secondary schools of the Fleurieu Peninsula – Encounter Lutheran College, Victor Harbor High School, Mt Compass Area School, Goolwa Secondary College, Investigator College and Yankalilla Area School  together with the City of Victor Harbor, Alexandrina Council, Yankalilla Council and Business Victor Harbor look forward to welcoming the Fleurieu community to the Fleurieu Career Expo.

Spotlight Session: Shaping the Future — Women in STEM Careers

Bridget Lindsay - 2025 Young Water Professional of the Year.

Bridget Lindsay, a distinguished civil and structural engineer at WSP and Manager of the Pipelines and Hydraulics Team, will be presenting at the Fleurieu Career Expo on career opportunities for women in STEM. Recognised as the Young Water Professional of the Year, Bridget brings firsthand insight into the journey from school to a thriving engineering career.
 

Her session will explore recommended education pathways, including relevant school subjects, and provide an inside look at studying engineering at university. Bridget will also candidly discuss the unique challenges and rewarding experiences of working as a woman in a traditionally male-dominated field. Students will have the chance to hear practical advice and be inspired by real-world stories, discovering how curiosity and perseverance can lead to an exciting STEM future.

Spotlight Session: Entrepreneurship on the Fleurieu 

Sam Neeft - Owner Operator Fleurieu Bike

Sam Neeft, owner and operator of Fleurieu Bike, brings a wealth of experience in both study and building businesses.  At the Fleurieu Career Expo, Sam will share his journey as a local entrepreneur—highlighting the diverse opportunities available for young people interested in starting their own business on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
 

Sam’s session will explore the steps involved in launching and growing a business, as well as the practical realities, challenges, and rewards of entrepreneurship. He will provide valuable insights into developing a business mindset, building resilience, and making the most of support networks in the region.

Students and aspiring business owners are encouraged to attend this engaging session to learn from Sam’s experiences and discover how passion and determination can help turn business ideas into reality.

Spotlight Session: Mas National – Your apprenticeship, traineeship and employment experts

Mas National (Mas), proudly part of the IntoWork Group, has been delivering employment and apprenticeship support services across Australia for over 25 years.
 

We partner with government, industry, employers, schools and individuals to facilitate apprenticeship sign‑ups, deliver targeted mentoring, and create meaningful workforce participation opportunities across a wide range of industries. Our comprehensive services include apprentice employment, transition support, mentoring programs, networking opportunities and allied health services.
 

As an Apprentice Connect Provider, Mas supports apprentices and trainees across Australia throughout their apprenticeship journey — from sign‑up through to completion.
 

In this session, you’ll hear from Sadie and Kimberley, who will talk all things school‑based apprenticeships and traineeships, including:

  • what school‑based apprenticeships are and how they work

  • the supports available to students, schools and employers

  • in‑demand industries and qualifications

  • pathways from school into apprenticeships, traineeships and employment
     

They’ll also share practical insights into how apprenticeships can support students to earn, learn and gain real‑world experience while completing their education.
